Midnight Bloom

I wanted to see how far I could push simplicity. Just black, white, and a single pulse of gold. The result was Midnight Bloom: a piece that feels quiet, but alive. Like something blooming under a moonless sky, where the only light is coming from within.

The pull on this one was tight and clean. I let the black do most of the talking, holding that central form steady in place. The white petals move like smoke or silk, and the gold at the base anchors it like warmth held inside something delicate.

It reminds me of the way certain wildflowers close up at night, but not completely. Like they’re still aware, still watching, just waiting for the right moment to open again.
