Berryglow

This piece came from a July ride past a patch of wild raspberry and thimbleberry bushes near Garrett Bay. The sun was low, and everything had that deep-magenta tone - dark green leaves underneath, pops of red and purple catching the last light.

In Berryglow, I pulled those colors tight through a clean white base: sharp but smooth. The purples and reds fold into each other like ripened fruit, while the darker edges add that grounding, like shadows between rows of growth. I kept the form structured to hold the richness, like something ready to be picked.

It’s one of those pieces that smells like summer in my head. Dry trails, warm air, something sweet in the distance.
