Remembrance

I don’t always know what a piece will become until it’s finished. With Remembrance, it felt like a tribute - something small, intentional, and grounded in emotion. The form reminded me of laying a single flower on a bench or in the sand, letting it speak for something you can’t quite say.

The dark background holds the shape like memory: still, full of weight. I pulled the white base outward first, then layered in red and violet to give it warmth and tension. There’s movement here, but it’s controlled. It doesn’t need to fill the whole canvas to carry meaning.

This one is for anyone carrying something close.
