Twilight Drift

This one came from a stretch of days where the sky seemed to hold onto night just a little longer. That hour where the light’s almost gone, but everything glows a little—purple shadows across snowbanks, deep black trees, the kind of contrast you only get at the edge of day.

With Twilight Drift, I let black and white do most of the structural work—sharp lines, deliberate pulls. Then I worked in the purples, layering in soft glitter and heavier tones to give it weight, like fog rolling across fields at dusk. The movement is slow but clear—drifting, not rushing.

This piece is about that quiet in-between. Not fully day. Not fully night. Just that pause where everything feels stretched out and still, like it’s waiting to decide which way to go.
